As has been clearly stated in our name, we generally prefer to stick to special announcements pertaining to penny stocks but today was a very special day for HMHC (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Corp.). The stock currently priced at $15.83, closed up 31.92% today, on well over 8 million shares traded, after announcing just last night, that their IPO (initial public offering) price, would be set at $12 per share. Clearly the market took very favorably to the IPO with the manner in which things turned out today but of course there will be no significant chart indicators for quite some time, due to this company being freshly introduced to the stock market and thus having no historical pricing info to back up what may occur moving forward.
